Jennifer & John- April 21st, 2012

We had the pleasure of coordinating Jennifer & John’s special day on April 21st at the Blackstone Hotel in downtown Chicago!  Jen & John were such an amazing, appreciative and lovely couple and their wedding was absolutely beautiful!

The happy couple had their first look in Millennium Park on a picture perfect spring day. As Jennifer walked across the park to meet her hubby-to-be, the excitement was palpable! John was blown away at the sight of his glowing bride.

Following the first look, the couple and their bridal party took a Chicago Double Decker trolley  around the city to take bridal party photos with their photographers, Raney Images. They made stops at the Board of Trade, lake front and Fado Irish Pub, where the couple met.

The couple chose the beautiful Crystal Ballroom of the Blackstone for their ceremony and reception. It proved to be the perfect setting for their classically elegant wedding. The beauty of the room was enhanced by Exquisite Design‘s floral accents along the aisle and table centerpieces. We loved working with Alex Jusino on this wedding, she always does such a spectacular job!

John and Jennifer made their guestbook personal, and fun, by providing 5 different wines for guests to sign. Each wine was tagged for a different anniversary year. This way the couple can celebrate each anniversary milestone with a bottle of wine that has their family and friends’ love written all over it. We loved this idea!

Jennifer & John’s beautiful wedding cake which was created by Take the Cake was sleek, simple and had a touch of fresh pink florals as a topper.  The cake was also monogrammed with an R for Jen & John’s last name!

Spinnin’ Discs Entertainment kept Jennifer and John’s guests cutting a rug till midnight and a great time was had by all!

We wish nothing but many years of happiness for Jennifer and John!
