Michelle, along with the Canterbury Farm team, is competing this month at The Horse Shows by the Bay competition in Willamsburg, MI and enjoying a little getaway while they’re at it. This charming Chandler Lake cottage is their summer oasis!

Horse Shows by the Bay is an Equestrian Festival which was founded in 2004 and offers a series of week-long competitions which take place throughout the summer at Flintfields Horse Park.

Every year this festival brings together thousands of the country’s best horses and riders to compete in the International Olympic disciplines of show dressing and dressage. Horse Shows by the Bay also hosts national and locally ranked events for the show hunter, open breed and equitation rider.

Not only did Michelle and the team bring the horses to Traverse City with them they also brought the pups! Between Michelle’s horses Porkchop & Azteca, Gigi the chihuahua, and Marcus the Corgi, the pets on this trip are definitely enjoying vacationing with one another and we think these pictures speak for themselves! As you can see Gigi is quite the traveler.

When Michelle and the Canterbury Farm team are not at the horse show they are enjoying one another’s company making smores, having campfires, enjoying the festivities of the annual TC Cherry Festival, swimming in Chandler Lake and dining out at some the best restaurants in the city! Traverse City is known for their wonderful restaurants and some of our favorites are Apache Trout Grill overlooking West Bay, Trattoria Stella, and North Peak Brewery in downtown Traverse City.
