Saving Our Four Legged Friends!

August 8, 2012

As you all know horses are near and dear to Michelle’s heart and horseback riding is one of her greatest passions! She absolutely adores her horses, Porkchop, Reese, Ramon & Azteca and is a strong advocate of every horse having love and happiness in their lives…

.

Unfortunately, many horses are not as fortunate and are abused and neglected and can find themselves in very seemingly hopeless situations – thankfully there are some very special individuals out there who give their time, effort and hearts to the rehabilitation and care of these horses, many times offering them a new lease on life!

.

Horse rescue operations in Illinois are currently struggling due to this drought and without the rain, crop prices, including hay, have skyrocketed. This has caused an increase in the number of horses being given up by their owners and the cost of running a rescue organization. There are many wonderful, local organizations that have dedicated their lives to rescuing horses and they are always looking for donations of all kinds, be it your time, money or any spare equipment. Click on any of the following links to make a monetary donation to the organization and find out more about what they do!
