Things we are loving now!
We have lots of creative things coming up here at MDE, so we have been on the hunt for inspiration and in the process, we have found quite a few things that we are absolutely loving and have to share!
With the coming of spring (it certainly hasn’t hit Chicago yet!) comes spring cleaning and sprucing, which we have been looking to do around our office. Pillows are a phenomenal way to add a breath of fresh air into a room, without any heavy lifting or longterm commitment! Jonathan Adler has a phenomenal selection of fun pillows, and we especially love the Love and Lust pillows! They are the perfect cheeky perk up to any room.
Speaking of sprucing up the home or office, we are in love with the crazy cool assortment of drawer pulls Anthropologie currently has. Drawer pulls are small items, but can easily make a kitchen look instantly updated and ready for the new season! And just think, everytime you go to grab a fork, you’ll smile because of these pretty handles!
We are working with the brilliant Ryan Turner at StemLine, Creative for our anniversary party celebrating the launch of Loft 644 (have you RSVPed yet?!) and love that he is sharing in our enthusiasm for ferns! With their lush green color and organic leaves, they scream spring and go perfectly with the lofty, urban vibe of Loft 644.
On a recent trip to New York, Michelle found C Wonder and nothing has been the same since! C Wonder is basically Sterling’s dream store, where everything and anything comes in bright colors with a monogram!!!! They have these fun little monogrammed geo plates that we think would be a perfect twist on a ring bearer pillow, with the couples’ new, shared monogram!
Finally, with the (hopefully soon) change of seasons we are thinking of sunshine and when we think of sunshine we can’t help but think of yellow. Yellow is the cheeriest of colors and is said to bring clarity for decision making and protect from lethargy and depression during dull weather. No wonder we are pining for all things lemon yellow lately!
