Fourth of July Party Tips!

June 26, 2013

We have been gathering tips and decor ideas for the perfect Fourth of July party and couldn’t be more excited to celebrate America’s birthday next week!

We love the idea of a rustic, outdoor, Americana-like party and this table from Chicago Farm Tables really fits the bill! The spiral legs and grey-blue color would be perfect with a cute white lace runner and fun little blue bottles with white and red floral! This way you are bringing in the red, white and blue, without going over the top. Another fun way to incorporate some color is to use bandanas for napkins, and put  them with silverware in a mason jar for your guests. That way they have silverware, a napkin and a glass all in one!

Obviously Fourth of July is a huge barbecue holiday and our friends at Phil Stefani Signature Events came up with this tasty July Fourth menu to throw on the grill; spicy pulled grilled chicken with a sauce trio of traditional, sweet and spicy, and mustard BBQ sauces, new potato salad with kalamata vinaigrette, and zippy red cabbage and jalapeno slaw, and what better way to wash it down than with red, white and blue sangria! Of course, no Fourth of July party is complete without some ice cold beer too! We recently found an antique washing machine and it makes a unique and handy cooler for all kinds of drinks!

After that delicious meal, you’re going to want some sweets. Kelly at Lillycakes is in the spirit of Fourth of July with these amazing push pop cakes! We loved push pops growing up, and can’t get over how cute they are in cake form! We would also love the mini apple pies in mason jars that Kelly makes, because what is more American than that!?

Speaking of all things delicious, how cool are these “Made in America” skillets?! FeLion Studios has combine artistry and functionality and created skillets of all 50 states! Perfect for cornbread (or anything you can think of!), you can break off a little piece of American pride with your meal.

Finally, you want your party to be memorable, and what better way then having a photo booth so your guests can take pictures home with them!  Open by Shutterbooth is a great addition to any outdoor party, and can be customized to any celebration with the use of different backgrounds and props. They recently got these celebratory and patriotic sequin backgrounds that are perfect for the Fourth of July. You can also make your party extra memorable with a confetti canon!!!!!! Is there anything more fun?! Safer than fireworks, Automated Lighting Design can provide you a confetti canon that adds the pop to your party! Talk about a grand finale!
