Favorite Things – Fall Edition
Though I love the summer sun, the freedom of being out on our beautiful lake Michigan and hot summer days, there is nothing I love more than fall! Sweaters, scarves and no humidity – for an ethnic girl like myself, humidity can be the devil!
I also happen to love everything that comes with fall like when the leaves change and bring with them such brilliant colors. I also love the smells such as spice and pumpkin and how all of it fuses into fashion and lifestyle. So, let’s jump into six things I am currently loving this fall!
OPI Venice Collection
Shades such as, “o suzy mio” and “worth a pretty penne” are two of my favorites because one is the dark more opulent side of fall and the other is a more light, metallic and warm color. LOVE them both!
L’Artisan Parfumeur: Amour Nocturne
I only wear perfume from this company. I cannot get enough of their creativity and decadence! My current scent obsession from them is Amour Nocturne which is described on their website as, “…cedar, surrounded by soothing notes of hot milk and caramel, gives way to a powerful burst of gun powder and orchid..” You can easily see why I am obsessing. It smells AMAZING.
Starbucks: Oprah’s Cinnamon Chai Tea Latte
Oprah together with Starbucks have created a cinnamon chai tea latte that I order every morning with coconut milk and it is my new favorite thing! The aroma, the cinnamon and the piping hot chai is delightful first thing in the morning.
Plus, Starbucks and Teavana donate a portion of the proceeds to The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation. They give $0.25USD per Teavana Oprah Chai prepared beverage; $1USD per 2 oz. of Teavana Oprah Chai Loose-Leaf Tea, reusable storage tin, and small gift set and $4USD per large gift set.

Bling is Back
According to Elle magazine, BLING is back! I actually never know that it left! After seasons of oversized jewelry with minimal design, we’ve made a return to very feminine and sparkly jewelry, like the brooches at both Prada and Balenciaga and the big earrings that were pretty much everywhere.
Chic Equestrian Style Trends
With every fall that comes around, chic equestrian style trends start to re-emerge and as you may know, I am a lifelong horse lover. Scheduling a gorgeous shoot out at the farm in the fall is one of my favorite things to do! Thanks to Wendie Aull of Aullmyn Photography for the photos you see here! Rose Gold and Geometric Shapes
I love seeing the emergence of rose gold and geometric shapes. Hannah, one of my colleagues at The Estate, has the most adorable mug that she found at Starbucks. It is the perfect addition of shimmer, shine and shape!
