MDE Destinations: Banyan Tree Mayakoba Day 1
I was so excited that Carolina Moreno of the Banyan Tree Mayakoba property in beautiful Riviera Maya, Mexico invited me to attend a trip to see this beautiful property!
Even better that my husband and photographer Collin Pierson (check out his website here) was invited as well to capture the trip.
From the moment we arrived, we have been treated to the utmost in service and luxury.
The comfortable and beautiful one bedroom villas come complete with privacy, luxury and even our own pool. And the peace and quiet is amazing.
Our first evening, we enjoyed a Mayan sunset ritual complete with a one of a kind ceremony and seven course meal. The courses highlighted both Mayan culture and Mexican culinary favorites, including a lime soup that was delicious!
Dinner was aglow with candles, and a table in the round setting for 18, symbolizing the 18 zodiac signs of the Mayan tradition.
It has been such a pleasure to meet some truly talented planners, and spend time with some Chicago favorites as well. Thank you Banyan Tree for a wonderful first day!
