Brighter, warmer days are just around the corner.. Or so we hope! With Spring comes many exciting things to do throughout the city and we’re highlighting some of the top attractions you won’t want to miss!


Rembrandt Exhibit at the Art Institute Chicago

The Art Institute is currently home to two Rembrandt works of art including Young Woman At An Open Half-Door, and Old Man With A Gold Chain. This spring, two Rembrandt portraits will be visiting the Art Institute from the Norton Simon Museum, giving guests the opportunity to explore four exquisite works of art by the famed 17th-century artists.

Chicago Flower & Garden Show

Don’t miss the annual Chicago Flower & Garden Show at The Navy Pier! This year’s theme is “FLOWERTALES: The Story Grows On” and will explore the role that flowers, gardens, and plants play in the stories of our lives and literature. There are events for everyone to enjoy over the 5-day event including education series, kids activities, tablescape exhibits, and more! The annual event kicks off on the 19th with the Evening In Bloom charity event focusing on food, flowers, and fashion.

Hamilton The Exhibition

Dive deeper into the life of Alexander Hamilton through an immersive exhibition at Northerly Island Park complete with an audio tour narrated by Lin Manuel Miranda, star and creator of Hamilton the musical. Journey through the life and times of Alexander Hamilton and the American Revolution through this dynamic, multimedia experience!

Baconfest

Calling all bacon lovers! Enjoy a two-day event dedicated to the love of all things bacon at Baconfest. Boasting everything from bacon based cocktails and beer, to artison bacon makers and “bacontrepreneurs”, this two-day festival has it all! What’s even better is that a portion of all ticket proceeds helps support local food charities.

Millennium Park Tours

If you’re looking for family friendly activities to fill your Spring Break week, there are many ways you can tour and enjoy Millenium Park! Learn all about the history and architecture of the park through a free guided tour with a Millenium Park Greeter, or explore the Lurie Gardens with its famed plants and wildlife. Or lastly, tour the park on wheels through the on-site bike rental facility, McDonald’s Cycle Center, which offers showers, lockers and more, and of course, bike rentals and tours!
