Winter Romance: An epic wedding for Leah + Lance at Gene & Georgetti Chicago
It was my absolute pleasure and privilege to plan and design Leah + Lance’s Valentine’s weekend wedding last week. Leah is a dear friend and one of the top skincare experts in Chicago and beyond! (Check out more on her amazing salon, Leah Chavie Skincare here). Leah has locations in both Florida + Chicago, with her origins being here in the city so we knew that this wedding would be one full of loved ones and dear friends for both Leah + Lance. Many came from far and wide for Lance given his New Zealand origins!
When Leah first approached me about her wedding she really wanted something that was fun and sophisticated. Since I have known Leah she has been a bubbly, warm and hard-working woman with a generous soul and a love for great style. When she met Lance, it was so wonderful to see how much they complimented one another and brought out the best in each other! I knew right away that something fancy yet welcoming was key. We settled on Gene & Georgetti Chicago for a few reasons – for me personally it works wonderfully because I know this team is trained to bring amazing events together in addition to being an iconic Chicago restaurant – I work with them every day! For Leah + Lance it was about great food, excellent service and a place they could really celebrate with loved ones.
Thanks to the amazing lineup of creatives that helped to bring this to life we had one heck of a wedding last week! Mixed metallics with an art deco inspiration came together in details like the romantic wedding floral, the amazing balloon installations, the fun cocktail napkins and the incredible wedding cake! It really was such a wonderful time had by all, and we were so grateful to have been part of it!
