Dana & Mike – May 29, 2011
Dana and Mike’s wedding took place at Galleria Marchetti on May 29, 2011. The event was beautiful, the bride and groom looked radiant, and the bridal party was exceptionally warm and friendly to the MDE team.
The ceremony was set to take place in the venue’s outdoor garden setting, but due to the rain we had to make the call and bring it indoors. From there, we had to recreate the entire ceremony. Luckily, we had our handy “bride and groom advance kits” (which include any and everything you can imagine needing on your big day from velcro to spotlights, votives to tape and bobby pins to mints) and were able to provide Dana a custom indoor aisle with romantic flower petals. We were also able to utilize the reception florals into the ceremony to create a idyllic candlelit celebration under the tent of Galleria Marchetti. Dana looked dazzling as she walked down the aisle. Her chic chiffon dress was designed by Nicole Miller, but it was her swank Christian Louboutin sparky pumps that stole the attention (and envy) of many guests and on-lookers.
Dana and Mike were very original! During the ceremony, the couple chose to pour unity sand into a vase symbolizing their unity. Traditionally, the bride and groom light a unity candle, so we felt their choice to use the blending of two different color sands was quite unique and fun! Dana and Mike also had Molly’s Cupcakes cater various flavors of cupcakes ranging from Red Velvet (with cream cheese frosting) to Cookies and Creme and Carrot Cake to the traditional Chocolate among others to be displayed on a table instead of the traditional wedding cake. They were delicious! Additionally, Dana and Mike had requested to take photographs with their beloved dog. We were able to arrange a driver to pick up the pooch for a mid-reception photo shoot!
