The experience offered an immersive look into the region, its hospitality, venues, guest experiences, and overall potential for destination weddings and celebrations and it only reinforced something we have been feeling for quite some time: Switzerland is becoming one of the most exciting destinations in Europe for luxury celebrations.
Located along the shores of Lake Maggiore in the Italian speaking region of Switzerland, Ascona offers a unique blend of Swiss hospitality and infrastructure paired with the warmth, charm, and relaxed lifestyle often associated with Northern Italy. Throughout the itinerary, Madeline experienced firsthand many of the elements we value most when evaluating destinations for our couples.
The trip included venue visits throughout Ascona, walks along the promenade, a boat experience on Lake Maggiore, beautiful garden dinners, and thoughtful hospitality moments designed to showcase the rhythm and atmosphere of the destination itself.
The host property, Giardino Ascona, perfectly embodied the kind of luxury hospitality we are always drawn to for our clients. Elegant yet relaxed, refined but welcoming, the hotel captures the effortless sophistication that makes a guest experience feel elevated without feeling overly formal.
The group also enjoyed dining at Da Enzo, one of Ascona’s beloved restaurants, where beautiful meals, lake views, and wonderful company created the kind of memorable evening we believe destination celebrations should always include. Often, it is not just the wedding day itself guests remember most. It is the layered experiences surrounding it. The welcome dinner overlooking the water. The leisurely lunch after a boat ride. The unexpected moment of connection while walking through a beautiful town together.
