Chicago native Michelle Durpetti balances a busy life as an entrepreneur, equestrian, wedding and event planner, managing partner of a hospitality group, and more. Now, Durpetti is sharing an inside look at the various facets of her life online with the launch of MichelleDurpetti.com.

Durpetti has produced over 350 weddings and events since founding Michelle Durpetti Events in 2008. She has been listed as a top planner by Brides magazine, The Knot, PartySlate and WeddingWire; and has been recognized as a Grace Ormonde Platinum Wedding vendor, and a member of Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book, among other accolades. She also serves as Managing Partner of Chicago’s original steakhouse since 1941, Gene & Georgetti, and the wedding and events venue The Estate by Gene & Georgetti.

Having spent years living in Florence, Italy, and coming from a restaurateur and entrepreneurial family, Durpetti draws inspiration from experiences including her heritage, travels, equestrian competitions, and philanthropy. In addition, Durpetti partners on projects with her husband, Collin Pierson, a professional photographer.

“I find so much inspiration, motivation, and beauty in what I get to do, and I wanted to create a place to be able to share that with others as well,” said Durpetti.

For more than 10 years, Durpetti has served as a regular lifestyle contributor on the topics of event planning, dining and hospitality for multiple news outlets. She has also covered Chicago, New York City and international fashion events, and has been named a Woman of Style by CS Magazine. Now, she brings her expertise to MichelleDurpetti.com.

“I will be sharing the many layers of my world and how I navigate each of them through entrepreneurship and personal endeavors, and how I find self-fulfillment and self-identity in the process,” Durpetti comments. “There are the occasional days where a cupcake and a glass of wine are the way to go, too, and believe me, we’ll be talking all about those days, too. This is a place for authenticity, honesty, laughter, goals, dreams, and some safe-space venting.”
