Chicago Equestrians for a Cause

January 3, 2013

We are thrilled to announce our newest event client, Chicago Equestrians for a Cause! This charitable group works to raise funds for the Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, the United States Hunter Jumper Association Foundation and University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation.

The Mission of Chicago Equestrians for a Cause is to showcase high level equestrian events with the express purpose of raising funds for selected charitable institutions in the Chicago area. The group hosts the Chicago Hunter Derby annually in early September at the beautiful Annali Farm. Horses and riders from all over the country come to compete for $50,000 worth of prize money on the beautiful grass field. Spectators get to enjoy the beautiful facility, delightful food, fabulous shopping and fierce competition, all while benefitting great causes! The event also has a plethora of childrens’ activities, such as a petting zoo and a horseless horse show, for the younger attendees. This fundraiser really is a family friendly event!

This year’s event will be held on September 7th and 8th. Saturday will feature the National Derby competition with 3′ fences, as well as the qualifying round for Sunday’s main event, the International Derby. The International Derby requires riders to jump fences anywhere from 3 foot 6 inches to 4 feet! On Sunday the top competitors from Saturday’s qualifying round will compete for the top check in the $50,000 International Derby.
