There is something uniquely restorative about stepping into a place where intention, creativity, and connection all take center stage — and that’s exactly what this year’s Engage! Mallorca Immersive Retreat offered. Held at the breathtaking Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, this experience brought together just 125 industry leaders for three days crafted around reflection, conversation, and meaningful community. It wasn’t about the pace or volume of a summit; it was about depth, presence, and being truly inspired by the people and the place around you.
Mallorca itself couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. With its dramatic coastline, ancient pines, soft breezes, and golden Mediterranean light, the island has a way of slowing you down just enough to let your mind wander — and your creativity expand. The newly reimagined Four Seasons Mallorca took that natural beauty and elevated it with thoughtful design, warm hospitality, and a sense of ease that made every moment feel considered. For anyone dreaming of a destination wedding in the Mediterranean, this resort is one to watch. It’s the kind of place where celebrations unfold effortlessly over a long weekend: welcome dinners beneath the pines, intimate ceremonies overlooking the sea, and gatherings shaped by the rhythm of island life.
The heart of this retreat, though, was the conversation. Instead of large-format presentations, Engage curated peer-facilitated round-table discussions, guided conversations, and wellness-centered experiences that invited everyone to show up fully — not just as creative professionals, but as humans navigating the evolution of our industry. We talked about mindful growth, the responsibility we hold in creating experiences for others, the importance of transparency, and the balance between emotional strength and creativity in leadership. There were moments of learning, moments of laughter, and the kind of honesty that can only happen within a smaller, intentional group.
And of course, layered throughout all of it was the joy of reconnecting with people who love this work as much as I do. Sharing meals, exploring the island, exchanging ideas, or simply pausing together to take in the view — these moments reminded me why I have such affection for the global community of planners, designers, artists, and visionaries I’m fortunate to call colleagues and friends.
