What we are loving now!
We have been so inspired lately by all kinds of things! We have been collecting trends, tips and the latest dish and are so excited to share with you! Written by our summer intern, Hannah, check out some of the things we are currently obsessing over.
Floral Crowns
Once only popular on May Day, floral crowns are making a resurgence into wedding accessories. We think that our friends Ben and Stephanie from Ben Mahoney Productions are most definitely awesome inspiration.
We love how couples are finding creative ways to incorporate beautiful flowers throughout a wedding celebration, beyond the “norm” of bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces. What we are really loving is the most recent trend that has been popping on our radar, floral crowns! Today, inspiration is bursting everywhere from Coachella to Game of Thrones.
Floral crowns may seem to fit particular wedding themes such as woodland or whimsical, but the trend begs to differ. With the many varieties in flowers, no floral crown is the same. Leaving plenty of room for a bride to incorporate her style and wedding colors in her crown. Some brides prefer a more exuberant floral headpiece, expressing bold colors and large flowers. While others would prefer a more subtle look with gentle hues and small petaled flowers. For us, the possibilities are endless! Brides magazine featured tips and tricks about this very trend recently! Click here to read what they had to say
Hashtag your Wedding!
Couples today realize that on their special day their guests will be just as excited for the wedding as they are! Guests are likely to share their excitement on social media at some point in during the wedding, so here is a fun way to engage your guests while also organizing social media posts!
The hashtag button (#) has promoted itself to a new job of social media networking, leaving it’s pound key days in the dust. The benefits of the hashtag for a wedding allow the couple, as well as other viewers, to view all the photos taken during the wedding at the same time. This makes viewing much easier because it allows you to enjoy all the photos at once, instead of having to navigate through multiple media sources to find them all.
Follow these simple instructions below if you want to hastag your wedding!:
1) Create a hashtag that is short, sweet and simple. You can also let your creativity flow and come up with something that really describes you, as a couple!
Our April clients, Mr. and Mrs. Kenny, got creative with their wedding hashtag, #RoaringGingers. Other couples have kept their hashtag simple by saying #Smith2014
2) Display the hashtag to your guests in any way you want! Whether it is included in the wedding invitation or written on a adorable chalkboard sign displayed during your wedding.
3) After the ceremony, have fun scrolling through all the photos taken by typing your hashtag into a social media search bar. Enjoy!
