There are cities that stay with you long after you’ve returned home—places whose light, rhythm, and quiet beauty settle into your memory and resurface just when you need them. Prague has always been one of those cities for me. Its history, warmth, and the golden glow that seems to illuminate even the simplest street corner never fail to inspire.
Returning for The Prive Retreat felt like stepping back into a beloved story and discovering a new chapter waiting to be written. The city reminded me why I love this work—why planning destination weddings, curating meaningful celebrations, and fostering genuine relationships in this industry fills me with purpose. Surrounded by creative, kind, and deeply talented souls, I found a sense of restoration I didn’t realize I needed.

Prague is a city that reveals itself slowly, confidently, as if aware of its own magnetic charm. This trip led us through some of the most cinematic and historically rich spaces in Europe—spaces that would make any destination wedding planner stop and imagine a celebration unfolding right there. Every turn felt like an invitation to dream up a Prague destination wedding filled with intimate moments, warm light, and a sense of old-world romance.
The terraced elegance of Vrtba Garden, one of Prague’s oldest Baroque gardens, feels like it was designed for romance. Its sculpted greenery and sweeping city views create a breathtaking canvas for wedding ceremonies, welcome parties, or editorial-inspired portraits. From there, the regal presence of Prague Castle—the largest ancient castle complex in the world—offered a reminder of how layered, textured, and visually captivating this city truly is.

Evenings brought their own inspiration. Wine tastings at Villa Richter overlooking the rooftops, dinners at storied hotels like The Augustine, Fairmont, and Mandarin Oriental, and soft-lit walks through cobblestone alleys showcased how Prague effortlessly blends old-world beauty with modern luxury. For couples dreaming of a European celebration, this combination makes the city an exceptional choice for a Prague destination wedding, with wedding venues and global destinations that feel both timeless and elevated.

Prague isn’t just a perfect backdrop for weddings—it’s an extraordinary place to visit, especially during the holiday season. The city turns magical in winter, wrapped in warm lights, festive markets, and the kind of charm that feels crafted specifically for winter travelers. The glow along the Vltava River, the aroma of mulled wine, the music drifting through Old Town Square… this is a destination that understands the art of atmosphere. It’s no surprise Prague is becoming increasingly sought after for holiday travel and romantic winter getaways.

Of course, the heart of my trip was the people. The laughter, the shared meals, the long conversations that blurred into inside jokes—the dance floors, the learning moments, the WhatsApp threads destined to live on forever. The relationships built in this industry continue to be some of the most meaningful in my life, and they carried me through what was, truthfully, a challenging week at home. Navigating a crisis from abroad stretched me in new ways, but the support and warmth around me made all the difference.
I leave Prague feeling renewed, grateful, and deeply inspired by a city that continues to shine—both for celebration and for rest. For couples dreaming of a European wedding filled with charm, history, stunning vistas, and exceptional hospitality, Prague is a destination that deserves your full attention. And for travelers seeking beauty wrapped in winter magic, there is no better place to wander, explore, and rediscover joy.
Siete pronti? Then let’s go, my friends. Until next time.
