The Heart of Wedding Planning

When people think of wedding planning, the first things that usually come to mind are the breathtaking florals, the perfectly designed tablescapes, and the magical details that make a celebration unforgettable. And while all of that beauty is absolutely essential (and something I adore bringing to life), there’s another side to planning weddings that holds just as much significance—if not more.

It’s the human side. The heart. The quiet, meaningful moments that weave a celebration together and make it deeply personal.

Behind the scenes, I get to witness moments that aren’t always visible on Instagram or in the pages of a magazine. Like guiding a flower girl or ring bearer through their big role, watching their nerves transform into pride. Or standing alongside a father as he prepares to walk his daughter down the aisle. Or pausing to take in the laughter between friends as they share in a couple’s joy.

These are the little moments that matter so much. Because while weddings are about gorgeous designs, they’re also about people—families, friendships, and communities coming together to celebrate love. And as a luxury wedding planner, I have the incredible privilege of becoming a small part of those memories.

After nearly 20 years, I can say that what anchors me in this work isn’t only the beauty we create, but the connections that form along the way. These moments fill my heart in ways that are impossible to put into words. They remind me why I fell in love with wedding planning in the first place, and why I am so grateful to every couple who trusts me with such a meaningful chapter in their story.
