Chicago is a beautiful city year-round and the holiday season makes it shine just a bit more! There are an abundance of things to do and see during the most wonderful time of year, we’ve picked a few favorites, check them out below!

 

{ 1. A Christmas Carol – Goodman Theatre Chicago } 
Nothing screams ‘holidays’ like a great “A Christmas Carol” performance. 2017 marks Goodman Theatre’s 40th consecutive year presenting this classic tale. Don’t miss out, its a must-see for all ages.

A favorite among Chicagoans and tourists alike, Christkindlmarket provides a fun shopping experience. This Chicago loop market derives from a German tradition; indulge your tastebuds with ethnic food and drinks while enjoying a variety of entertainment from carolers and choirs to other seasonal performers.

An annual production of exquisite talent, Robert Joffrey’s The Nutcracker is without doubt one of the best performances of the season.

{ 4. Zoo Lights at Lincoln Park Zoo } 
Fun for all ages! Enjoy bright, colorful lights and fun holiday activities. Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo transforms its grounds for a magical, dream-like experience. Santa makes his appearance, making it especially fun to bring the kids.

One of Chicago’s main attractions, Millennium Park, presents ice skating! With over 100,000 skaters in attendance every year, it is a “must” for your list of winter activities in Chicago; skate around for a bit, check out the city lights and enjoy a warm drink when you’re done!
