At Michelle Durpetti Events, we are fortunate to travel the world planning unforgettable celebrations for our clients. While Italy is often at the heart of our destination weddings, every now and then a truly special event brings us somewhere equally breathtaking. One such moment was Sarah and Garrett’s beautiful luxury destination wedding at the iconic Halekulani Hotel in Hawaii.
This wedding holds a unique place in our story, as Sarah and Garrett were our very first destination wedding clients. Garrett, who was stationed in Hawaii with the military at the time, and Sarah wanted to bring together their closest family and friends for an intimate weekend that balanced heartfelt moments with the incredible natural beauty of the islands.
The day began with a first look that was both private and meaningful, set against the elegant backdrop of the famed Halekulani Hotel, where their reception would later take place. Following their portraits, the couple embraced the spirit of the islands with a surf-inspired photoshoot, celebrating their connection not only to each other but also to the place they called home at that moment in their journey together.
As the sun began to set, Sarah and Garrett exchanged vows in a romantic ceremony overlooking the ocean. The evening that followed was filled with cocktails, dinner, and dancing surrounded by their closest loved ones. Intimate, joyful, and beautifully personal, the celebration reflected exactly who they were as a couple.
Since that day, Garrett’s military service has taken the couple to new places, making these images and memories from Hawaii all the more precious. For us at Michelle Durpetti Events, this wedding remains a reminder of why we love what we do—curating meaningful, luxurious, and deeply personal celebrations anywhere in the world.
