A Romantic Rustic Fall Wedding: Emily & Tom Featured on Loverly
We are absolutely thrilled to share that one of our most heartwarming weddings has been featured on Loverly! Emily and Tom’s gorgeous autumn celebration at The Landing 1841 was a perfect reflection of their love story, filled with warmth, intentional details, and rustic elegance that captured the essence of fall in the Midwest.
Planned and designed by the Michelle Durpetti Events team, this wedding was an incredible collaboration with a team of talented creatives and, most importantly, a couple who truly embraced the beauty of the season and each other.
From the rich, jewel-toned florals to the cozy outdoor ceremony overlooking the Rock River, every moment was designed to feel timeless and personal. The Landing 1841 served as the perfect backdrop, with its historic charm and picturesque surroundings bringing a unique mix of rustic flair and natural beauty to the day.
Inside the reception barn, candlelight, wood textures, and soft linens created a romantic ambiance that made guests feel right at home. Emily and Tom’s attention to detail was apparent throughout, from thoughtful signage to the curated tablescapes, and we’re so honored to have brought their vision to life.

A Rustic Fall Wedding at The Landing 1841

Emily and Tom’s wedding was filled with golden light, deep jewel tones, and pure joy from start to finish. Set at a restored dairy barn, their celebration perfectly balanced rustic charm with a touch of glamour, brought to life through thoughtful details and personal touches. From the silhouette of the trees at their home featured on their invitation suite to illustrations of their dogs and horse (yes, in tuxedos!) woven into the printed details, every element felt intentional and uniquely them. Featuring whimsical florals at their al fresco ceremony and moody and majestic reception details, each moment was a lesson in maximalism done right!
