Capri & Amalfi Inspiration in the Heart of Chicago
When our bride first shared her vision—“I want everything to be inspired by Italy, really Capri & Amalfi and all of those colors and beauty!”—we knew it would be a perfect collaboration. Every detail was infused with Italian elegance: from the invitations and place settings to the bridesmaids’ chic style – all elements for this Italian inspired wedding in Chicago.
Yanni Design Studio helped bring this vision to life with lemon accents, blue and white pottery, and a sophisticated dinner setting reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast. A standout moment? The giant trees under which the couple exchanged vows that later flanked the dance floor—an unforgettable nod to natural Italian beauty.

Hosting the wedding at The Peninsula Chicago added another layer of glamour. This iconic venue offers unparalleled service, sweeping city views from the terrace during cocktail hour, and a classic car available for timeless photos. It’s the perfect balance of old Chicago sophistication and modern luxury.
A Day Full of Surprises
This wedding was filled with thoughtful surprises planned by both the bride and groom. To keep the magic alive, we created three versions of the timeline—one for the bride, one for the groom, and one master version for our creative team.
Highlights included live performances from Chicago icons: Rat Pack crooner John Vincent serenaded the bride before dinner, while legendary Blackhawks singer James Cornelison performed the Star-Spangled Banner and Oh Canada for this hockey-loving couple.
