This past weekend, we had the joy of producing an unforgettable, three-day baptism celebration in Chicago for one very special little girl — and let’s just say, it was one for the books. 💞
From rooftop cocktails to lakeside brunch and a couture-inspired reception that would make even Christian Dior swoon, this multi-day fête brought together the best of Chicago’s luxury venues, creative partners, and—most importantly—a family who knew exactly how to celebrate with heart.
A Three-Day Baptism Celebration, Chicago Style
The weekend began with an intimate welcome dinner at Gibson’s Italia, where close family gathered over a warm and elegant meal to kick things off. That same evening, guests headed to the rooftop of Nobu Chicago for welcome cocktails — a perfect blend of iconic city skyline views and laid-back, stylish energy.
The main event on Saturday took place at 167 Green, one of Chicago’s most elevated, design-forward venues known for its sweeping skyline views and seamless modern aesthetic. With Lettuce Entertain You as the exclusive caterer for the venue, it was only fitting that the menu paid tribute to the family’s favorite dishes from across the Lettuce portfolio — a creative, personal touch that made the experience even more special.
From the moment guests entered, it was clear: this baptism was no ordinary celebration.
A Baptism Celebration With All Things Pink (and Playful)
Our style muse? A timeless blend of soft pinks, playful textures, and a dash of Christian Dior-inspired couture. Partnering with the wildly talented Mal Marcus and the Kehoe Designs team, we transformed the reception space into a dream.
✨ A velvet bow-inspired photo backdrop welcomed guests with glam.
✨ Larger-than-life designer shades, hanging from the ceiling and filled with fresh florals, brought the wow factor.
💐 Custom linen, elegant rentals, and signature pink-on-pink detailing made every corner photo-ready.
But it wasn’t just the design that set this day apart. It was the experience — created with every guest in mind.
Celebrating All Ages, With Intention
For the littlest guests, we created a dedicated children’s room featuring:
- A kid-friendly buffet (hello, mac & cheese heaven)
- A whimsical face painter and balloon artist
- Soft seating and activities so parents could relax while little ones had fun
Meanwhile, adults were treated to their own unforgettable moments:
- A string trio performing elegant Disney covers during cocktail hour
- A talented mentalist offering up mind-bending entertainment
- The culinary magic of their favorite LEYE dishes, beautifully presented
As the sun set, the party picked up: the energy soared with a set by DJ Jerzy, and an incredible moment of Greek dancing lit up the dance floor. It was the perfect blend of heritage, joy, and celebration — all wrapped in the luxury experience our clients expect and love.
