Celebrating 40 in grand style
40th Birthday Celebration
What a sensational last few weeks to 2022 for us here at Michelle Durpetti Events! We closed out the year with one of our favorite events to date – a fabulous 40th birthday fete complete with custom toile and a dance party after dinner.
Celebrating 40 in grand style required the night to be kicked off with an incredible champagne wall entrance to introduce cocktail hour. A custom toile first peaked out of the vibrant pink velvet draping and was also featured on the gold shelving holding coupes of champagne as well as a host of candles. Walking into the cocktail hour room, guests were met by Aragon Artist’s Daybreak duo performing classic American and Latin jazz, to set the tone for the evening. Cocktail hour details featured handsome black wooden high boys topped with vibrant floral centerpieces, as well as a slew of candles and disco balls surrounding the piano and musicians.
The centerpiece of the room was a stunning three-tier birthday cake, featuring the custom toile that guests were introduced to when they first walked in. A large-scale double ice luge sat between the two bars, offering guests an interactive experience with signature cocktails.
Following cocktail hour, Beatmix’s Radius acapella group entertained all as they headed to the main dining room. Upon entry, two long tables topped with an array of bright floral centerpieces, mixed in with candles welcomed guests. As they made their way down the room and looked up to the ceiling, they discovered the assortment of hanging candles, creating a delightful feeling as they dined below and within the candlelight.
After dinner, guests were invited back into the cocktail hour room, which was now transformed into an incredible dance party scene. DJ Megan Taylor brought the energy, which kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night. The DJ booth sat on top of a custom embroidered velvet linen, featuring the birthday logo, which matched the ice sculpture and the cocktail napkins. Guests’ eyes were brought up once more as they followed the black velvet ribbon up to giant balloons touching the ceiling. And that my friends is how you win at celebrating 40 in grand style!
