While weddings were our main focus, we also made time to experience the heart of the region—like the UNESCO World Heritage town of Alberobello, famous for its trulli, those distinctive cone-roofed homes built with dry stone. The history behind these structures, dating back to the 14th century, is one of my favorite stories from the trip. They’re a perfect example of how deeply history and culture are woven into daily life here.
