There are weddings you love.
And then there are weddings that stay with you.
When Kit and Vinny’s Florence celebration landed on the cover of Modern Luxury Weddings Chicago, I had one of those pause moments. The kind where you look at the image, remember the air that evening, the light against the stone, the way the music carried across the courtyard, and think, we really did that.

Their Florence destination wedding was one of those celebrations that stays with you long after the last candle fade and to see their wedding featured and celebrated so beautifully is an honor. To see it on the cover feels surreal. You can read the full feature on Modern Luxury here and for more features from MDE, visit our press page.
As a Chicago wedding planner who specializes in destination weddings in Italy, Florence holds a particular magic for me. It is layered. It is historic. It rewards precision and punishes shortcuts. It asks you to understand it culturally, not just aesthetically.
Kit and Vinny embraced that fully.

Their Tuscan wedding was not about spectacle. It was about atmosphere. Architecture. Emotion. A guest experience that unfolded thoughtfully from ceremony to candlelit dinner to a dance floor that refused to quit.
Italian stone. Tailored fashion. Florals that felt organic but intentional. Tables designed for conversation and celebration. It was timeless without being predictable. Romantic without being overly styled.
And most importantly, it felt like them.

This celebration perfectly reflects how luxury wedding planning continues to evolve. True luxury is no longer excess. It is personalization. It is cultural fluency. It is knowing how to navigate an Italian production team, local regulations, timelines that operate differently than in the United States, and still deliver an experience that feels seamless to a Chicago based couple and their guests.

Planning a destination wedding in Florence requires more than beautiful design. It requires trust, translation, negotiation, and an understanding of both Italian tradition and American expectations.
It requires intention.
Kit and Vinny’s wedding embodied that layered elegance. The kind that looks effortless in print but is built on months of careful collaboration with extraordinary vendor partners both in Italy and at home.

Being featured in Modern Luxury Weddings Chicago is meaningful. Not because of the spotlight, but because it celebrates the work of our couples and the teams who bring these moments to life.
It celebrates collaboration.
It celebrates vision.
It celebrates the fact that a Chicago couple can gather their closest people and create something extraordinary in Florence.
And perhaps most beautifully, it celebrates love in the place where so many love stories feel timeless.

Kit and Vinny, thank you for trusting us with your wedding. Thank you for embracing Italy fully. Thank you for dancing like no one was watching and then letting the world watch anyway.
This one will forever be a favorite.
With gratitude and a full heart,
Michelle
