Ah yes, the holidays are here. For some reason this time of year always creeps up on me, even though I know every year that it is coming. I have had quite the year, and in all honesty could not think of one thing to ask Santa for this year for myself. I do however, LOVE buying presents for loved ones! It is something I truly enjoy. I have oodles and oodles of favorite things and finding the perfect present for someone is a way for me to show them what I have learned about them and from them being in my life. Byredo makes incredible fragrances. Gypsy water is an obsession of mine and the spray for the hair is divine. After a great blow out I love to use this as a final step in my getting ready process because I feel like it stays with me for ever. Next on my list? Is the gift of good face! Any one of the special women in your life would love a gift certificate from an incredibly talented makeup artist. Be it for a special occasion or just for a makeup lesson, my dear friend (and makeup artist for almost two decades!) Aga Kasciewicz is amazing. Makeup by Aga is a fantastic Gift idea!

In addition to knowing fabulously talented makeup artists I am pretty lucky to know some fantastic photographers, and one in particular is a favorite of mine. Possibly because I am marrying him in just three short weeks! Collin Pierson Photography offers a wide range of services well beyond his gorgeous wedding photos. From engagement shoots to family shoots, and from lifestyle sessions equestrian portrait sessions, my fiancée is pretty darn talented. (Ok sure I may be biased, but see for yourself!)

And then once you do, think about giving the gift of memories forever captured. The best thing Collin and I did this year was hire a photographer to capture us in front of the camera during our time in Spain for Barcelona Bridal week. We absolutely cherish those photos.

Finally, another personal favorite of mine. Anything that my friend and fellow planner Akeshi Akinseye creates is something I want to know about. She has a best selling book, a workshop that I love being a speaker at, and designs floral that knock my socks off! Most recently, she has created a line of products for the home, including pillows and candles that are to die for. And then, because I swear she never sleeps, she created a floral delivered in these stunning boxes. The company is called Belles Fleurs Chicago and these floral boxes are literally every woman’s dream!!! I would love being on the receiving end of that floral.
