The Party, an exclusive PartySlate event
36 hours in New York with PartySlate was inspiring, educational, and such a beautiful celebration of everything I love about being part of this industry of bringing milestone moments to life in the form of gorgeous, thoughtful, and seamlessly produced parties!
“The Party” was equal parts education, networking, and of course – celebrating. Because in an industry made up of creative individuals who live and breathe making beautiful celebrations for clients, you know that parties are always going to be fantastic when we collaborate and create them for ourselves.
PartySlate invited its members to NYC for a really fun series of events. I was able to spend my Tuesday morning with their educational panels. CEO Julie Roth Novak kicked it off with a presentation on the PartySlate founding story and future vision with John Haro, PartySlate CTO and co-founder.
After that, it was a Fireside Chat: Generational Perspectives on Sustaining Balance & Managing Client Expectations with Victoria and Amanda Dubin of Victoria Dubin Events. As a multi-generational business family, I really enjoyed the insights that both mother and daughter shared!
Afterward was a great group chat about Identifying, Building and Investing in Your Unique Brand with an emphasis on the importance of digital branding of course! This panel included:
Caitlin Fulton Kuchemba, Fulton Events
Eddie Zaratsian, Eddie Zaratsian Lifestyle and Design
Jen Gould, Jen Gould Event Design
Marc Wilson, The Style Marc
Nirjary M. Desai, KIS (cubed) Events
All in, All the Time: The Key to the Sale with Josh Spiegel of Birch Event Design was thought-provoking and definitely got me thinking about how I am showing up within my brand, in front of clients, and in life in general – loved it!
Recognizing Your Strengths & Hiring for Your Weaknesses was notably special for me because my friend Jeffrey Selden of Marcia Selden Catering & Events was on the panel with other industry powerhouses including Jes Gordon (jesGORDON/properFUN), Jordan Kahn (Jordan Kahn Music Company) and Liron David (Eventique).
After a small afternoon pause, the team behind the event really kicked the celebrating party into high gear with a really beautiful, layered cocktail party. From the food to the music to the sights and everything in between, it was just really fun to be part of. Thank you Partyslate!
