A Peninsula Chicago Wedding… inspired by Italia ✨

Let’s just talk about these two for a moment. The sweetest, best looking, funniest, hardest working, and nicest humans. Ever. And don’t even get me started on this bride’s style.

The initial call began with “I want everything to be inspired by Italy, really Capri & Amalfi and all of those colors and beauty!” – I knew we would have instant synergy. From her invitations to her place settings and even her bridesmaids’ looks, everything was inspired by the style and vibes of Amalfi & Capri and I was here for all of it! Yanni Design Studio worked with our bride to curate a sophisticated dinner vibe complete with lemons, blue and white pottery and one of my favorite components? The giant trees under which they were married that later flanked the dance floor! So much fun.

It’s also always such a delight to work in an iconic location like the Peninsula Hotel here in Chicago. Simply unparalleled service that includes incredible city views from the terrace during cocktail hour and a classic car available for photos – it truly is old Chicago glamour at its finest beautifully paired with the most current luxury you can imagine.

Fun fact about these two -> we had three different timelines for the wedding day because both the bride + the groom had surprises in store for each other. To keep it all under wraps they each received a timeline without their surprises, while all creatives worked off the master timeline! Two Chicago icons joined the Gold Coast All-Stars on the stage surprising the bride – Rat Pack Crooner, John Vincent, serenaded Tracy before dinner and Legendary Chicago Blackhawk’s singer, James Cornelison, was there for the Star-Spangled Banner and Oh Canada (these are serious hockey fans!)
