We love a good holiday wedding!
With fall in full swing and the holidays fast approaching, I have two thoughts; one is “where did this year go?!” And the other is about how much I love this time of year for weddings! One of my favorites is this November wedding we produced in Milwaukee at the Marcus Center. Working with my friend and talented designer Erin McDonald is always such a pleasure and so fun. Our beautiful couple was looking for lots of candle light, a dash of sparkle and greens galore. Erin brought in really aromatic greens like eucalyptus, which made the room not only look beautiful but smell amazing. The long layers of greens on the tables topped with just a bit of height here and there on other tables really made for a dynamic and visual space. I loved that our couple was willing to play with different linens as well and we were able to bring a deep forest green and navy into the room. This really was one of my favorites to bring to life – but with this much glow, sparkle and celebration, how could it not be? And the best was when the newlyweds and their loved ones came into the room it really came to life. And that may have been the best part of all. Of course weddings are always a time for love and celebration, but for some reason when the weather is crisp and the leaves are turning brilliant colors it becomes even more celebratory and love filled. Maybe it is the chill outside (or maybe the lack of humidity is really what I am enjoying, LOL), but for me fall and winter weddings just have something a bit special! Enjoy this beautiful wedding!
