Selina + Chad: A Glamorous Vow Renewal
In November of 2019, a lovely young woman named Christy married her handsome husband John. I have had the pleasure of working with John’s family for several weddings and I just adore this family! It is such a gift as a wedding planner to have clients who refer and who keep coming back for additional celebrations.
You can imagine how thrilled I was when Christy reached out to say her sister was looking for assistance in bringing her 10th anniversary and vow renewal to life. And the best part? We had five weeks to make it happen. Now, nobody loves a challenge more than I do. But these days, supply chains are interrupted and sourcing anything just takes longer so it was an extra special challenge for us to tackle.
What made all the difference in bringing this magical, beautiful, incredibly detailed event to life? Two main things. The first; an absolutely stellar lineup of quality, talented, artisan vendors. The team that you curate around you when planning can make or break a process. Are they solutions-oriented? Are they creative? Do they have synergy with the client?
And this brings me to the second thing; the client. Our lovely client Selina had absolute trust in our guidance, was open to discussions and insights from vendors, and was really able to flow so beautifully through the planning process that low and behold in just five short weeks we have this incredibly curated, impeccably detailed, and oh so romantic celebration right in their gorgeous backyard!
What I love about Selina is her fearless vision. She taps all of her senses when she imagines something in her mind. THIS is a dream for any planner because that is exactly how we design! From scent to sight and from sound to taste, Selina was with us every step as we built layer upon layer with mindful details, thoughtful touches, and some serious style. One of my favorite elements was how we infused the navy glam into the suggested dress code, giving us a tent full of beautiful people impeccably dressed AND matching the decor. It doesn’t get better!
I had a vision in my mind of no floral on the table and instead having floral suspended over the dance floor and Selina, Nicole, and myself loved working with Renee and her team at Kehoe Designs to bring this incredible color palette to life within our beautiful tent!
From every single item on the menu to the signature cocktails to the individual cakes to the 11 piece band, Selina and Chad renewed their vows surrounded by their loved ones and came ready to party! They are such sweethearts, and I am so thankful they chose us to produce this incredible soiree!!!
