New York Bridal Fashion Week; all the looks, emerging trends and fashions!

October 13, 2023,

Hello and greetings from the Big Apple! We have had a whirlwind few days here in New York as it is Fall Bridal Market! Twice a year designers from all over the world arrive in New York City and premiere their collections to industry buyers, media, and the world!  I am so lucky to have the chance to attend and see some of my favorite designers premiere their newest collections. It is especially fun because my husband Collin Pierson photographs many of the collections for designers which makes it all even more exciting and fun! I am sharing a few of my favorites here!

Ines Di Santo is forever a favorite brand, designer and person I am lucky to call a friend. She and her incredible daughter Veronica along with their wonderfully talented team have welcomed us into their Ines family over the years and we could not be more grateful. Ines is known for celebrating feminine silhouettes and utilizing incredible fabrics, forms and textures. Never afraid to be bold with color and pattern, her collections are always a symphony of everything I love feeling when I wear a fabulous gown and that is exactly how a bride should feel on her wedding day. This newest collection was inspired by a modern perspective – architecture, love and couture are always infused into everything she designs and this collection truly had all of that. And I can say that for me, nobody makes a ball gown quite like Ines DiSanto, and her finale piece was one for the books – the blue gown (pale blue is a color we see often now in bridal fashion and I LOVE it!) paired with the gorgeous floral print cape complete with embellished trim was sultry, feminine, fashion-forward and also had just enough of a nod to old world romance. Take a look at some of my favorites from her collection!

“In a time where everything is constantly changing, I feel compelled more than ever to represent my beliefs through my designs and be a positive voice in support of female empowerment.”

Mark Ingram is also a timeless, favorite designer (and human!). It was such a pleasure to be at the opening of his Madison Avenue location this week – the Gilded Era is right now for Mark and his brand, who is constantly inspired by all that he loves about New York – the architecture, timeless style and there are some incredible pieces in this collection. I loved the jumpsuit – paired with the short veil (which is something I have seen in a few places and want you to know that I love seeing this re-emerge! It is so chic!). A high neck overlay to a clean gown embellished in sparkle was also a favorite of mine, but to be honest – everything Mark does is always on my YES list! Check out a few favorites here and don’t miss a chance to peep that veil with the bows!

Galia Lahav is always fiercely feminine and a celebration of sultry – and this collection was no different. However, what was different and needs to be mentioned is that many Israeli designers were unable to show their collections because of the terrible things happening in their country. My thoughts remain with all of the people there, including my loved ones who still have family there. All of us making our way through the last few days of bridal fashion were all mindful of and praying for our friends and colleagues, and our hearts were heavy. We send our love to these designers who are trying their utmost to continue forward while terrible events keep occurring and we send them our love and our prayers for safety, and for peace. I am including a few favorites from the collection here.

My incredibly talented friend Sarah Bradshaw was also in NY this week photographing and I loved what she captured at Sareh Nouri who is wonderfully feminine and always so chic. Bows are always a finish I can never get enough of, just like lace, a beautiful button or a gorgeous off-the-shoulder and Sareh always does everything so beautifully – just take a look!

Nardos is an incredibly talented designer who is not afraid to think beyond the box with her designs. Her collection showed at the Lotos Club, a historically beautiful NYC private club and I could not get enough of the location, or the gowns!

Stay tuned as we share more in a second blog because as you know there is always so much to share from NY and from fashion week!
