Ins & Outs for 2024 weddings

January 10, 2024, ,

The wedding industry is a dynamic and ever-evolving world, characterized by style and the ability to tantalize all the senses, creating unforgettable events that live in the hearts of those who attend long after the event has concluded.  With such a creative and awesome industry comes the continual emergence of new trends and traditions. As couples seek to make their special day a unique reflection of their love and values, understanding the ins and outs of this industry is crucial for both vendors and clients. From the latest in decor aesthetics and venue selections to shifts in wedding attire and digital innovations, navigating the multifaceted landscape of nuptials requires a keen eye on emerging trends and a deep respect for timeless traditions. If you are ready to learn about what we believe are the Ins and the Outs of weddings happening in 2024, then let’s go!

2024 Wedding “Ins”

  • Understanding and respecting that your creative team are vendors that you invest in and not negotiate with.
  • Requesting that guests kindly refrain from using cell phones.
  • Intentionally curated menus that also include thoughtful vegan + vegetarian options (and great wine selections too!) .
  • Considering a mid-week destination wedding (we are currently working on two of these and are obsessed with the mid-week timing as it leaves the weekend for guests to enjoy the destination!).
  • Having toasts happen at the rehearsal!
  • A welcome lunch for the bridal party.
  • Layering in thoughtful details that reflect your identities as a couple and as individuals too.
  • Dutch Master-inspired floral.
  • To-go wedding cake slices.
  • Wedding dressers + stylists.
  • Restaurant receptions.
  • Dress codes.
  • Champagne towers.

2024 Wedding “Outs”

  • Dancing between dinner courses – dear lord, all the yes!
  • Sweetheart tables.
  • Bows – yes I said it – this has peaked.
  • Huge bridal parties.
  • White + green color palettes.
  • Matching bridal party dresses.
  • Lukewarm champagne preset at dinner tables (or in an escort display).
  • Receiving lines.
  • Trying to copy Pinterest instead of creating a vibe that is all yours.
  • Shopping for “cheap vendors” versus understanding the importance of your vendors’ talent and worth.
  • Inviting anybody to your wedding that feels obligatory.
