Nicole and Marco had an elegant Chicago wedding with Italian flair in June of last year, and we could not have had more fun helping this lovely couple plan their perfect day! Marco and Nicole met, and lived, in Italy during their planning process, so Michelle's fluent Italian skills definitely came in handy! With Nicole growing up in Chicago, she always envisioned her wedding day in the city, and the Allerton Hotel was the perfect place to welcome international guests to the Windy City!
Both the bride and groom enjoyed a leisurely morning, getting ready for the nuptials at the Allerton and once everyone was ready, it was off to St. Benedict's for the ceremony! Although there was a Cubs game this particular Saturday, the trusty drivers at Windy City Limousine got everyone to the church on time!
With the touching ceremony, performed in both English and Italian, finished, the bridal party ventured around the city to take photos with the talented Carasco Photography!
While photos were being taken, the Tip Top Tap Ballroom was a flurry of excited preparations for the beautiful reception! StemLine Creative created gorgeous floral centerpieces that highlighted the couples' palette of simple black and white, to highlight the elegance of the ballroom. Candles (and signature cocktails!) added to the ambiance of the historic room.
Guests enjoyed the cocktail hour in the Huron Room, and were then ushered into the Ballroom, where everyone raved about the decor! Introductions were a lively surprise when a groomsman and bridesmaid did a quick outfit swap right before being introduced!!! Guests were delighted with a special champagne toast presentation, expertly choreographed by the Allerton staff to Pink's "Raise Your Glass". Dinner was a sumptuous feast peppered with touching toasts from the Father of the Bride, Maid of Honor, Best Man and Nicole and Marco themselves. Once everyone had finished their meals, it was time to cut loose on the dance floor with Okyne Medialab! But the surprises weren't finished. Nicole had secretly ordered a Bat Man Groom's Cake that was wheeled on to the dance floor to the Bat Man theme song, which blew Marco away!
