Happy Halloween to you!

October 31, 2023

Happy Halloween friends, ghouls, goblins, and witches!

It’s been quite a few months, hasn’t it? As many of you who follow me on social media may know, we suffered a terrible loss in our family with the unexpected death of my beloved horse, Jack, after many months of fighting for his life. This has been one of the more challenging and profoundly sad things I have faced and I cannot express my heartfelt thanks to all of the people who sent messages, made donations in his name, and did a thoughtful, love-filled gesture to honor Jack. Truly, your kindness meant and still means the world. So thank you for that.

The last 6 weeks have included four very special couples and four very special weddings. Of course each of these celebrations was beautiful and unique – from a restored dairy barn in quaint Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to the old-world romance of the Peninsula and the sensational style of our Chicago History Museum wedding; and then the beautiful wedding that concluded our season just last Saturday. But these were also special because our couples were the kindest and most fun. Their love of detail and their trust in us was truly special. I felt

incredibly lucky to have had these weddings this year and I hope you enjoy seeing our blogs and posts about them. More to come too, so stay tuned!

With Halloween this year came both an eclipse and the hunter’s full moon. This is a time to leave behind all that no longer serves us and make room for new; new abundance, new blessings, new joy, and of course – new celebrations! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to step into this new phase and new time

In fact, we are so excited to continue working with our 2024 and 2025 couples and can’t wait to share some of the fun happening in their planning processes!

In the meantime, we wish you a beautiful Samhain! This day originally marked the Celtic New Year, the end of summer, and the end of the harvest season. On this day, the Celts believed the veil between the living and the dead was especially thin, and that is where the history of costumes on Halloween comes in! So be sure to embrace your inner mystical, magical self and celebrate all the fun today!

November is tomorrow and with it comes a little more of fall (we hope!), and Thanksgiving too. Another beautiful time of year when we reflect on all we have to be grateful for! And of course – all the delicious food! 🤩

Thank you for following along on our journey, we’re so grateful you’re here.

Happy Halloween! 🎃👻🍁🌕✨🫶🏼🧿

xo,
Michelle

Italian vibes in the Windy City

A PENINSULA CHICAGO WEDDING… INSPIRED BY ITALIA

The initial call began with “I want everything to be inspired by Italy, really Capri & Amalfi and all of those colors and beauty!” – I knew we would have instant synergy…It’s also always such a delight to work in an iconic location like the Peninsula Hotel here in Chicago.

Our final wedding of the year

AUGURI, ROSELLA & ANTONELLO!

Last Saturday I had the privilege of planning and producing the wedding of a young woman who I first met when she was a bridesmaid in her sibling’s wedding (that I also planned). Last Saturday was HER wedding day -> and she was a radiant bride!

Bridal Fashion, NYC Style

ALL THE LOOKS, EMERGING TRENDS AND FASHIONS!

We had a whirlwind few days in New York during Fall Bridal Market! Twice a year designers from all over the world arrive in New York City and premiere their collections to industry buyers, media, and the world! I am so lucky to have the chance to attend and see some of my favorite designers premiere their newest collections. It is especially fun because my husband photographs many of the collections for designers which makes it all even more exciting and fun! I am sharing a few of my favorites on my blog!
